The transition will take place in July 2025 during the Packers' shareholders meeting.
Policy, who joined the Packers in 2012 as vice president and general counsel before being promoted to COO in 2018, is well-prepared for his new role. His appointment as president and CEO was unanimously approved by the Packers' board of directors after a thorough search process that considered over 90 candidates.
The son of former San Francisco 49ers and Cleveland Browns president Carmen Policy, Ed Policy brings a wealth of experience to his new position. Prior to joining the Packers, he served as the commissioner, president, and CEO of the Arena Football League from 2008 to 2009. Additionally, Policy has been involved in various roles within the NFL and has practiced law in San Francisco and Cleveland.

He has been responsible for legal affairs, communications, marketing, fan engagement, sales, business development, security, and hospitality. Notably, Policy has been instrumental in the development of Titletown, a significant real estate project near Lambeau Field.
