QB Rankings Shakeup After the Draft
Two QBs rose. Two QBs fell. Here's why.
The NFL Draft just reshuffled the QB landscape for fantasy football.
Some quarterbacks got weapons. Others got competition. And a few quietly became the best value at the position.
Rising: Tyler Shough
Shough was already a fantasy QB1 as the Saints' starter in 2025, averaging 17.1 fantasy PPG from weeks 10–18. He was a top-12 QB in five of those nine games with zero bust games in that span. Now the Saints added Jordyn Tyson at pick 8. Shough goes from a high-floor QB2 to a potential QB1 with a real weapon on the outside.
Rising: Cam Ward
The Titans took WR Carnell Tate 4th overall. Tate has elite hands, body control, and a polished route tree. Ward's WR room is now Wan'Dale Robinson, Chimere Dike, Calvin Ridley, and Tate. That's a massive upgrade in versatility for a second-year QB with rushing upside.
Falling: Shedeur Sanders
Sanders gets KC Concepcion and Spencer Fano from the draft, which helps. But the Browns' overall offensive talent is still bottom-tier, and he's in a prove-it year. His ceiling is capped by the roster around him.
Sleeper: Jaxson Dart
After week 5 in 2025, Dart scored more fantasy points per game than Mahomes, Herbert, Prescott, Hurts, and Burrow. Mostly without his WR1 and RB1. The draft added OL Mauigoa and WR Fields. He's a true top-8 dynasty QB being drafted outside the top 12.
